ARTICLE 27Right to cultural life

Everyone has the right to freely participate in cultural life – for instance, going to a concert, a neighborhood party, reading a book, etc...

Exercising one's cultural rights allows each and everyone to see and imagine the world, to take part in it and have an impact on it. When talking about the right to cultural life, it is both about access to culture as well as active participation in cultural creation.

In Belgium, there are many subsidized associations and institutions, such as Cultural Centers or the “Article 27” association, which work towards improving how this right is exercised.

Do you know that museums supported by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles offer free entrance every first Sunday of the month?

The artist and their vision

"With this mural, I want to express the freedom of movement and expression without borders. That's why I let the paint drip from one side of the building to the other: touching both sides, it builds a bridge where everything can be connected through artistic freedom. "
